B.L.A.C.

BLAC is a space I wish I had growing up — a community where Blackness and anime fandom coexist freely, without judgment or erasure. I grew up in environments where Blackness was often viewed as a monolith, and nerd culture wasn’t always embraced. Now, I’ve grown into curating the very space I once searched for — one that lives at the intersection of cultural pride and fandom joy.

Through BLAC (Black Lovers of Anime Collective), I’ve built a vibrant and growing community of Black anime fans who gather to share, celebrate, and connect.

Our programming include but are not limited tos:

  • Coffee Meetups that nurture conversation, connection, and low-key vibes.
  • Viewing Events and themed experiences — including our popular Maid Café — that fuse anime culture with creativity, care, and fun.

From cozy circles of 5 to high-energy events with 120+ attendees at Stackt Market, the demand and love for BLAC has been phenomenal. It’s proof that our joy, our nerdiness, and our culture belong — and deserve space to shine.

Stay blessed. Stay BLAC(k).
